Catalyst is a minimalist puzzle game designed for phones. Using simple swipes the player lines up atoms to form molecules and trigger chain reactions. The game features two modes; Puzzle Mode presents a hand-crafted puzzle that the player must solve with a limited number of swipes; Endless Mode presents a grid that fills with molecules – the player must clear them quickly before the grid fills up and the game ends. I developed the game’s concept, design, art and code. David Krystal provided music and sound samples.
